While the film has some familiar elements, notably in its criminal dynamics, the three main characters are well-developed.Some supporting characters, such as the policeman Billings, played by Sean Bean, remain somewhat superficial. However, the character of Fly, a British criminal portrayed by Paddy Considine, stands out with a compelling narrative arc.

Deep Cover is a fun and carefree movie ideal for streaming. While sharper writing, similar to that of Guy Ritchie‘s films or Edgar Wright’s ironic style, could have elevated the film further, it remains a prosperous and enjoyable experiment.
