Deborra-Lee Furness, the Australian actress, has released a statement in the wake of filing for separation-lawyer/tx/spring.html” title=”Top Rated Spring, TX Divorce Lawyers – Avvo”>divorce from her husband, Hugh Jackman. She expressed sympathy for others who have experienced similar heartbreak, stating her “compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”

In her statement to the media, Furness, 69, described the divorce as “a profound wound that cuts deep,” but added, “though I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe… is always working FOR us.”

The couple officially filed for divorce in NEW YORK on May 23rd,following their initial separation declaration in September 2023,which ended their 27 years of marriage.

hugh Jackman, 56, known globally for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, has not directly commented on Furness’s recent statement. Though, he recently posted a video to Instagram of himself skipping to the NYSNC song “Bye Bye Bye.”

Furness Reflects on Wisdom gained

Furness shared that she has gained “much knowledge and wisdom” from the “breakdown” of her marriage to Jackman.

She elaborated, “Sometimes the universe has to create arduous circumstances for us to walk through in order to find our way home, back to our true essence and the sovereignty of self love.”

Furness added, “It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom,” according to the statement initially provided to the Daily Mail.

When they initially announced their separation in 2023,Furness and Jackman released a joint statement,calling it “the sole statement either of us will make”.

The statement continued: “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth… We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.”

The couple’s relationship began on the set of the Australian TV show Corelli in 1995, shortly after Jackman’s graduation from drama school.

They married in 1996 and later adopted two children.
