Biopharmaceutical firm SPCA Technologies is participating in the European Congress Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), taking place in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from June 13 to 16, 2025.

At the congress, DBV will present two posters and host a symposium. Scientific sessions will feature data describing the reduction in reaction rates with the Patch Viaskin Peanut following accidental peanut consumption (CAA), compared to a placebo, during the second year of the Epitope open extension study (OLE). Also presented will be data from the phase 2 aptitude study, conducted with Nestlé Health Science, assessing the sensitivity, specificity, and safety of a Viaskin patch (DBV1605) for diagnosing non-IgE-mediated cow’s milk allergy in infants (older than 28 days and younger than 24 months).

Our symposium will notably offer new perspectives on epicutaneous immunotherapy in peanut allergy, with an interactive discussion illustrating the clinical relationship between an allergist and his patient. we are convinced that our presentations during this edition of the EAACI Congress will make it possible to advance our collective understanding of epicutaneous immunotherapy as a new therapeutic option promising for food allergiescomments Daniel Tassé, Director General of DBV Technologies.

The DBV symposium, entitled ‘Peanut Allergy: Recent Research Highlights’ will be co-chaired by Professor Gideon Lack, teacher of pediatric allergology at the London Allergy Care and Knowledge, and Professor Alexandra Santos, Pediatric Allergology teacher College of London and honorary consultant in pediatric allergology at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

We are impatient to share the new clinical data from the second year of the open extension of the Epitope study, which highlight the real life effects of the Viaskin Peanut patch in peanut children aged 1 to 3, “said Drris Mohideen, medical director at DBV Technologies. These data are based on the results presented during EAACI 2024 and demonstrate an additional reduction in CAA reactions with the increase in the duration of treatment. These results of the 2nd year of the open extension of the Epitope study suggest that the Patch Viaskin Peanut,if approved, coudl reduce the reactions due to the CAA,which we know common despite the strict avoidance measures taken by families. We are also impatient to share the results of the aptitude study which, despite its premature judgment due to recruitment difficulties in this population of patients, and not due to safety problems, nevertheless constitute an encouraging advance in the exhibition of the broad potential of the Visiaskin patch in the field of food allergies “.

our symposium will notably offer new perspectives on epicutaneous immunotherapy in peanut allergy.
