Daugavpils Municipal Administration (KSP) informs that, in addition to the regular cleaning of streets from snow and sprinkling of anti-icing materials, communal services actively remove snow from places where it has accumulated in large quantities and causes difficulties for road users.
It is important to note that although public utilities work intensively to reduce the impact of winter on the urban environment, it is not possible to completely clear the entire city of snow. Priority – places where snow accumulation hinders the movement of pedestrians and vehicles, restricts visibility at intersections or creates other potentially dangerous conditions. Works are carried out both during the day and at night to ensure efficient maintenance of the city’s street network.
We invite the residents of the city to treat the work of communal services and possible temporary complications in road traffic during snow removal with understanding. Therefore, we ask drivers to park their vehicles in such a way that they do not interfere with snow removal and removal equipment.
