Darko Jevtić Considers Return to Premier League with Zagłębie Lubin

darko Jevtić, a former player for Lech Poznań, is reportedly considering a return to the Premier League. According to piotr koźmiński from Goal.pl, a move to Zagłębie Lubin is on the table.

Darko Jevtić, an offensive midfielder, is well-remembered by Lech Poznań fans and Premier League followers alike. He played 192 matches for “Kolejorie” between 2014 and 2020, scoring 37 goals and providing 43 assists, contributing to their championship win and Polish Super cup victory.

After leaving Lech, he transferred to Rubin Kazan, then had a loan spell with AEK Athena before being acquired by FK Jedinstvo UB. Last season, he played seven matches for the Serbian team, scoring one goal, but his playing time was limited due to broken ligaments.

The 32-year-old is returning after a significant break, which is why he is expected to undergo training with Zagłębie Lubin. According to Piotr Koźmiński, the contract is likely to be finalized after these sessions.

The contract will probably be parked.

Potential Impact on Zagłębie Lubin

The potential acquisition of the former Swiss youth international aligns with the plans of Leszek Ojrzyński, who mentioned he was seeking a new “ten” for the team.

If the transfer materializes, Jevtić could reunite with a former teammate from Lech‘s locker room, Jasmina Buric.

Zagłębie is currently 15th in the league table and recently drew 2:2 with Piast Gliwice.
