Dante Spinetta – Reset: New Single & Futuro Chile

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

2026 has arrived and with it, the new thing from Dante: “El Reset”, the last preview before his new album, which is now available on all platforms. Faithful to his ability to fuse funk, soul and urban music with a unique sensitivity, Dante uses “El Reset” as a metaphor for the closing of a cycle.

The launch is not coincidental: January 1st globally symbolizes rebirth, and Dante takes advantage of it to give it an artistic meaning: for something new to begin, the previous must first be reset. It is not easy to be inside the head of El Dante, as his fans affectionately call him, and this trilogy of singles that he released prior to his album (“Starlight”, “Pensando en ella” and, now, “El Reset”), shows a little where “Día 3” will go, the album that will succeed the successful “Mesa Dulce”, a work that won him the first Latin Grammy of the young Spinetta’s solo career.

Thus we arrive at “The Reset”, a nod to the beginning of a new Gregorian calendar, whose lyrics are a crude story about endings: “(…) All the dreams we had today are going to disappear in the Reset”, says the song, expressing that need to detach ourselves from what does us harm, from what is not fully rounded and that leaves a mark that hinders our progress. Dante Spinetta releases his new single “Reset”.

Produced by Mamá Húngara and directed by Hernán Corera and Lucas Brañas, the video for the song functions as a key piece that continues the aesthetic and narrative line of their previous single, “Pensando en ella.” In this installment, the camera delves into the intimacy of a breakup, capturing that moment that “darkens mercilessly,” through a cinematographic atmosphere that accompanies the transition from pain to definitive liberation.

This single represents the last preview before the launch of their long-awaited new studio album, which will be released in February. After the success of “Mesa Dulce”, Dante Spinetta consolidates himself in a stage of compositional maturity, where organic instrumentation and direct lyrics promise the solid experience of an artist seasoned by 30 years of career and search for the perfect sound. “The Reset” is now available on all digital platforms.
