For Dainis Dobelnieks, the soloist of the legendary group “Eolika”, this year has again brought a severe emotional upheaval – the disease has started to take over the other leg as well, it was reported in the material of Ligita Eglīte, “The singer of Eolika now has another leg operated on” in the publication “Kas Jauns”.
While going to perform, Daini is supported by his wife and stage colleagues, holding his hand.
The fact is that the singer’s health problems have worsened – after the recent operation, he feels severe pain when moving.
As is known, in 2016 Dobelnieks had to amputate the lower leg of his left leg due to gangrene caused by blood circulation problems. Over the years, Dobelnieks accepted his situation and the prosthesis, but less than a year ago he experienced a second severe blow – the same disease also attacked his other leg.
At least for the time being, the doctors were able to solve the problem promptly by operating on the fingers and part of the foot on the right leg, but if the condition suddenly worsens, the stage artist may be at risk of amputation of a larger part of the other leg as well.
