The Wicked star took home the 18th Annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the 2026 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, held at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, in Santa Barbara, California. Said actor Michael Douglas, “[Her] depth, range and fearless commitment to her craft embody the spirit of excellence my father championed throughout his life.”

Bell Storywhich tells the life of the devoted wife who is still fighting for justice in the wake of her husband Sean Bell’s killing by NYPD officers. Marking the 19th anniversary of Sean’s passing, attendees gathered to celebrate Bell’s life and watch the film at the AMC Empire 25 in New York City. The film, currently in theaters, will be available on digital platforms on December 15.
