The Cybertruck is not the most successful product in Tesla’s model range: only a fraction of the planned sales figures were achieved, and quality problems have arisen several times in connection with the model. In principle, it cannot be put on the market in Europe either, as it does not comply with the rules applicable here.
There is someone who can solve it: a Cybertruck recently appeared in Lugos, Romania, driven by a 39-year-old Bulgarian driver. the Electric Cars poked out. It turned out that the driver was just passing through, on his way home from Finland. The electric pickup drawn with a ruler caused a huge stir, which ultimately did not go well with the driver.
The police also noticed the Cybertruck and stopped it to check it. Here it turned out that the man does not have a driver’s license to officially drive the pickup. The problem is exactly what you’d think at first: the Cybertruck is too heavy.
In Romania, as in Hungary, you can drive a car with a maximum gross weight of 3.5 tons with a category B license. Tesla’s pickup weighs much more than this: depending on the version, it weighs between 3.6 and 4.1 tons, which means that it does not have a design that would even fit empty among cars that can be driven regularly with a Bs license.
Officially, the Cybertruck could only be driven with a Cs driver’s license, according to the Temes County Police Headquarters, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the driver. The driver was still lucky in that he was able to continue his journey, albeit only as a passenger: the police let the car go when an acquaintance of the former driver, who has the appropriate driver’s license, took over the driving.
