Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a Surprise Update: Fresh Customization, Photo Mode Boosts, and More Secrets!
Cyberpunk 2077 fans, rejoice! CD Projekt Red has dropped a surprise update, bringing exciting new features, fixes, and improvements to Night City. While the hype surrounding Phantom Liberty’s DLC continues, this latest update proves that CD Projekt Red isn’t abandoning their ambitious RPG just yet.
Expanded Customization Options
One of the standout additions is a wealth of fresh customization options. Players can now personalize their V with 32 eye colors, 18 lip makeup types, 17 nail colors, 10 cheek makeup types, 16 eye makeup types, 4 face scars, 5 eyebrow shapes, 4 face tattoos, 2 body tattoos, and 8 cosmetic face cyberware options.
Adding to this, the Character Creator randomizer now includes a handy "Plain-to-Punk" slider, allowing players to effortlessly transition their V’s appearance from subtle to edgy.
Enhanced Photo Mode
Photo Mode enthusiasts will be thrilled with the extensive upgrades. Now featuring a free-roaming Drone Camera, increased camera range, collision controls, lock functionality, precise camera aiming, and an effect intensity slider, capturing the perfect shot in Night City has never been easier.
A highlight addition is the ability to spawn up to 3 NPCs, giving players greater control over their compositions. Lighting options have also been improved, allowing players to spawn and adjust light sources directly within Photo Mode.

- Vehicle Customization: Rayfield’s CrystalCoat™ technology, initially exclusive to Rayfield vehicles, is now available across various manufacturers.
- Vehicle Selection: Ten popular vehicles, including the Mizutani Shion MZ1, Mizutani Shion Targa MZT, and Quadra Type-66 640 TS, are now available for purchase.
- Johnny Silverhand Interactions: Johnny Silverhand will occasionally appear in the passenger seat during drives, offering commentary and reactions.
- Gameplay Fixes: Numerous gameplay issues, including katana finisher animations, quickhack effects, and NCPD behavior, have been addressed.
