Cuba Internet Outage: Ángel Moya & Berta Soler Report Disruption

The Cuban opponents Berta Soler and Ángel Moya have had mobile data internet outages since noon last Sunday, denounced the Lady in White María Cristina Labrada.

Labrada blamed the Cuban regime and the Telecommunications monopoly ETECSA for this action.

Until now he had only been able to communicate with the couple of opponents via their home’s landline.

This new repressive measure occurs days after the arrest of the leader of the Ladies in White on January 2, when she was heading to the Peace Mass in the Havana Cathedral.

Soler was detained in Lawton by two repressors dressed in civilian clothes, according to an image released by Moya.

Finally, the leader of the Ladies in White was released almost at 7 pm the same day, after being held for several hours at the police station on Aguilera Street, in the capital.

Likewise, repression has worsened on the island after the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

Activists and opponents have been under surveillance and prohibited from leaving their homes.

Apparently, the regime’s objective in the coming days is to prevent them from leaving their homes, following the events in Venezuela, an ally of Havana.
