Crossmint, a blockchain platform focused on simplifying Web3 integration, has successfully closed a funding round of €20.7 million. The investment includes participation from Wayra (Telefónica Investor), Ribbit Capital, Franklin Templeton, Nyca, First Round, Lightspeed Faction, and HF0.
Wayra is positioning itself as a “strategic partner” for Crossmint, offering support that includes “offering advice, physical space in thier facilities, invitation to internal events – which they give access to other investors – and external,” according to a statement.
Crossmint aims to reduce the complexities associated with blockchain technology, providing companies with a streamlined solution that eliminates the need for multiple vendors or extensive engineering resources. The platform is developing an AI-driven system where CROSSMINT provides wallets, payments, and credentials, enabling AI agents to manage funds, exchange assets, and acquire services securely.This system is designed to be compatible with existing infrastructures, regardless of their design to prevent automated use.
The Crossmint platform is currently utilized by over 40,000 companies, including notable brands like Adidas and Red Bull.
Crossmint co-founder, Rodri Fernández, stated that publicly traded ‘fintechs’ are using Crossmint to incorporate stable currencies, introduce new financial products globally, and decrease operational costs.
