Authorities in Riachuelo have intercepted a meaningful quantity of meat deemed unfit for human consumption.the seizure occurred during a routine traffic stop conducted by the Provincial Police on Route 12, highlighting the ongoing challenges in regulating food safety and transportation standards.

The operation, carried out by officers from the Road Safety Directorate, took place on Saturday morning near Riachuelo. During the two-hour control,officers issued 18 traffic violations to motorists and motorcyclists for various infractions. However, the moast significant discovery was a Toyota Hilux truck transporting vaccine meat under unsanitary conditions.

The vehicle was driven by an adult male, whose identity has not been released. The Special Unit of Rural and Ecological Security was called to the scene, leading to the detention of the driver and the seizure of the vehicle and its cargo. The case has been handed over to the relevant fiscal unit for further investigation.
