O Botafogo was defeated by Corinthians 3-1 this Friday (27/3), at the Nilton Santos Stadium, and completed the third consecutive match without a victory in the Brazilian Women’s Championship – there are five games without winning this season.

A powerhouse in the sport, Corinthians took a 2-0 lead in the first half, with Vic Albuquerque and Gabi Zanotti heading the ball. At the beginning of the final stage, Jaqueline scored third. Afterwards, Botafogo wasted several chances to at least reduce the loss. But, in the end, Rebeca scored the goal of honor: 3 to 1.

The Gloriosas, led by coach Léo Goulart, played with Michelle; Sinara (Fran Bonfanti), Thaiane, Yasmin Cosmann and Natane; Kika (Rebeca), Zóio (Thaynara) and Baby; Tailane, Carol (Shasha) and Tipa (Júllia).

With the defeat, Botafogo fell to 13th place, with four points in five games. The Gloriosas return to the field next Friday (3/4), at 9pm, again at the Nilton Santos Stadium, to face Santos, broadcast on the NSports channel.
