This year-long program celebrates the island’s diverse gastronomic traditions, offering a taste of local flavors through carefully crafted menus. Each chapter of the program highlights the unique cuisine of a different region, promoting sustainability while supporting local farmers and preserving cultural practices.
Bangli Edition: February to March 2025
The journey begins with the Bangli Edition, running from February to March 2025. Executive Chef Kadek Sugiantara, a native of Bangli, has curated the menu, bringing his intimate knowledge of local flavors to the table. Signature dishes include Loloh Cemcem, a refreshing herbal beverage, and Mujair Nyat Nyat, a savory seafood dish seasoned with Balinese spices.
Other notable offerings include Betutu Keren, a slow-cooked chicken dish bursting with authentic flavors, and traditional treats like Jaje Abug, made from rice flour and palm sugar. Each dish is prepared using locally sourced ingredients and time-honored cooking techniques, ensuring an authentic culinary experience.

Bangli’s Cultural Heritage
Bangli is renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, including volcanic terrains, rice terraces, and the UNESCO-listed Mount and Lake Batur. The region’s cultural significance is enhanced by the Bali Aga community, whose ancient customs continue to influence the area’s culinary identity.
Future Editions: Exploring Bali’s Culinary Diversity
Following the Bangli Edition, COMO Culinary Odyssey will continue to explore the rich culinary diversity of Bali. From April to May, the Gianyar Edition will celebrate the cultural heart of the island, known for its vibrant markets and artistic heritage. In June and July, the focus shifts to Buleleng, offering a taste of the coastal cuisine from the island’s northern shores.
The Karangasem Edition, from August to September, will highlight the eastern region’s unique culinary offerings, known for their flavorful dishes made from a blend of spices and fresh produce. October and November will feature the Jembrana Edition, showcasing West Bali’s rustic and earthy flavors.
The journey culminates in December with the Klungkung Edition, celebrating festive Balinese dishes to bring the year to a traditional close.
