The founder of new Columbia start-up company Be There Immersive is one of numerous former Datastorm employees who have started new businesses.

Be There Immersive founder Eric Margheim arrived in Columbia in 1992 to work for Datastorm Technologies on Lemone Industrial drive. Margheim joined host Fred Parry in-studio for the hour Saturday morning on 939 the Eagle’s “CEO Roundtable” to discuss his new company, which uses virtual reality as a storytelling device. Their partners include Columbia-based MFA and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The company’s website describes itself as “your gateway to the next generation of workforce solutions, powered by VR and assisted with AI.”
