LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) -Troy Green, a former Columbia County Sheriff’s Office sergeant, died Monday at the age of 55.
Officials with Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Lake City said he died from an illness in the hospital.
Sheriff’s officials said Green started as a detention officer in 1993 and served for nearly 30 years until he retired in 2022.
