A mass of cold air is expected to impact the northeast region of Vietnam today, May 24.
starting May 25,the cold air will intensify,affecting the North Center region and parts of the northwest. Inland areas will experience a shift in wind direction to the northeast at level 2-3, while coastal areas will feel level 3 winds. The northern region will experience cooler temperatures.The lowest temperatures in the north are forecast to be between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, with mountainous areas dropping below 20 degrees Celsius.
The Hanoi region is expected to be cool, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of the cold air mass compressing a low-pressure trough, the northern region is currently experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rainfall. The North Center region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms at night, with isolated areas of very heavy rainfall.
Across the country on Saturday, May 24, the capital of Hanoi will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms during the day, with the possibility of very heavy rain in some locations. Showers are expected in some areas at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 22-24 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature will be 26-28 degrees Celsius.
