Text scams are nowadays everywhere – and they are constantly evolving and changing. The latest evolution seems to be fraud centered on fake texts for Coinbase, a cryptographic platform.
The local news report noticed fraud in Nevada, others have reported issues about Redditappridu‘s good news, however, the Coinbase scam seems to follow a similar playbook with previous text scams. You know all those DMVs, really, or e-zpass ticket scams that have for some time litter phones.

How to notice Coinbase scams and what to do if you get it
There are some things to take into account the text that clearly makes it a fraud: 1) I’m not a Coinbase customer and 2) This is from a random, +63 phone number. This +63 country code is designed for the Philippines and became the signs of a superpronent e-zpass scam. The text also creates a sense of urgency – Correct this non-existent removal problem- that scams are commonly used. Fraudsters want to make you act before you have time to rethink it. It is important to note that Coinbase is written by its site: “If you receive a text message reported that you have received a cryptocurrency you did not allow, this is probably a phishing attempt. Coinbase does not send texts to check the transactions.” So, if Coinbase does not deform you about the deal, then any such text is by default.
If you get the text: Click links, don’t call the phone number and don’t answerIn the area you can simply delete the text and report it as unwanted.
If you are still worried, you can contact Coinbase exactly instead of using the phone number from fraudsters. In short, you can usually simply delete fraud and move.
