Coffeezilla Calls Out Misleading Headlines Surrounding Hailey Welch’s Controversial Memecoin Launch

Social media influencer Hailey Welch, known as "Hawk Tuah," recently found herself at the center of controversy following the launch of her memecoin, HAWK. The token’s turbulent debut, marked by accusations of snipers and insider wallets, triggered a wave of online speculation and misinformation, prompting investigator Stephen Findeisen (Coffeezilla) to step in.

In a recent X post, Coffeezilla called for an end to the proliferation of misleading headlines regarding Welch and the HAWK token. He refuted claims of Welch profiting $50M and the memecoin rugpulling for $500M, emphasizing the need to stick to verified facts.

What We Know About the HAWK Launch

According to Coffeezilla, the team behind HAWK indeed presold a few million tokens to strategic advisors, who allegedly sold their holdings early, before the tokens were "sniped." Coffeezilla clarified that Welch received $125,000 from the project, with the remaining tokens unlocking in a year. He cautioned that the whereabouts of the profits from transaction fees and presales remain unknown.

Shots Fired: Lawsuits and Counter-Activism

Adding fuel to the fire, U.S. law firm Burwick Law publicly encouraged victims of the HAWK launch to contact them to understand their legal options. This fueled further speculation, but Coffeezilla firmly stated that no legal action has been taken against Welch – yet.

Welch, on the other hand, took to X, claiming that the team had not sold any tokens and that no Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) were given free tokens. She further stated that aggressive fees were implemented during the launch to combat snipers.

The Importance of Critical Consumption

This situation highlights the vital need for critical consumption of information in the volatile world of cryptocurrencies. Sensationalized headlines, unverified claims, and online rumors can quickly snowball into widespread misinformation. As Coffeezilla emphasizes, it’s imperative to rely on credible sources and verified facts before forming opinions or jumping into potentially risky investments.
