G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brazil Raises Speculation on Chinese Communist Party Diplomatic Struggles

[New Tang Dynasty News, Beijing time, February 22, 2024] The Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20) currently taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has garnered attention, particularly with the absence of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu is representing China at the meeting, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China.

Questions surrounding Wang Yi’s absence are further fueling speculations of internal power struggles within the Chinese Communist Party. His inability to attend the G20 meeting while on a tour of Spain and France has raised eyebrows, especially given the recent dismissal of former CCP Foreign Minister Qin Gang.

Qin Gang’s sudden removal from office last year, amid rumors of internal conflicts with Wang Yi, has shed light on the alleged tensions within the CCP’s diplomatic ranks. US officials have described the relationship between Qin Gang and Wang Yi as a “blood feud,” citing Qin Gang’s rapid rise in the Foreign Ministry and close ties to Xi Jinping as sources of resentment among colleagues.

In the midst of these power struggles,

Rio de Janeiro/Brasilia – Russia has found a way to circumvent many of the West’s economic restrictions. But this week, even Vladimir Putin’s inner circle felt the consequences: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov first had to fly widely around European airspace on his trip to the G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro. When he left, the kerosene supplier Vibra Energia reportedly refused him fuel – for fear of US sanctions.

Ukraine Russia War, Last Minute | The New…

At the end of 716 days of war in Ukraine, each of the countries in the fray claim to have neutralized the drones launched tonight by the enemy. Russia said its defenses neutralized the 19 launched by Ukraine on four of its regions, including Oriol with energy facilities as its objective. For its part, Ukraine scored the demolition of 10 of the 16 drones launched by Russia on “only civil infrastructure” in Kharkiv.

In the first message of Olexander Syrsk as the new commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, replacing the charismatic Valery Zaluzhny, said that “only by continually changing and perfecting the means and methods of war will we be successful,” he wrote on Telegram, before proclaiming “together towards victory!” President Volodymyr Zelensky named “hero of Ukraine” Zaluzhny.

The Kremlin does not believe that this change in the military leadership will alter the outcome of what it calls a “special military operation.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin in his interview with the commentator Tucker Carlson, he questioned because USAneeded to spend so much on arming Ukraine for a war that, in his opinion, is in some ways a “civil war” and he showed himself willing to negotiate.

The Russians Destroyed A Rare And Important American…

    #Russians #destroyed #rare #important #American #combat #vehicle

This is the first confirmed loss of the Ukrainian Assault Breacher. Late last year, the United States gave Ukraine at least one, and possibly as many as six, Assault Breachers.

The Assault Breacher is a 55-ton engineered military vehicle equipped with a mine plow and linear mine clearance system.

Such tracked combat vehicles were specially designed to clear passages for infantry and other combat vehicles through minefields, mined roads or improvised explosive devices.

Such armored personnel carriers are able to sidearm explosives during missions, can withstand multiple mine explosions, and are equipped with explosives to clear the passage area.

A crew of two working with 4 million $100 Assault Breacher can dig up and safely destroy buried mines, fill trenches and dig anti-tank ramparts, then use small flags to mark a safe path for tanks and combat vehicles to quickly pass through. And the crew can do all this without leaving their heavily armored vehicle.

With increased capabilities and efficiency, Assault Breacher cuts demining time from hours to minutes.
