“With the VR version, you’ll be able to observe your empire grow from a museum-like setting, looking out onto a customized vista inspired by your leader,” explains Meta. “Switch to mixed reality mode to seamlessly integrate the Command Table into your physical environment.”

Leaders and Diplomacy in a Virtual Setting

The alien leaders of other civilizations will make their presence felt around the Command Table, especially during diplomatic negotiations or significant decisions. Players can also explore The Archives – a separate space within the VR environment – to review the history and achievements of their own civilization.

Enhanced Gameplay and Multiplayer Support

To ensure immersive sessions, the VR version of Civilization VII comes with a faster default game speed, making it possible to complete a full game in a single playthrough. However, players can adjust the pace to their liking, whether they prioritize speed or depth.

Multiplayer mode is also confirmed, allowing gamers to challenge friends and rivals in strategic battles across virtual landscapes.
