The year 2026 is off to a good start at Firaxis Games. The developers reveal the first patch 1.3.2 pour Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, available now on PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Already a year after its release, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is struggling to stand out from the crowd, and is suffering from numerous complaints from its community. But the development teams are not giving up and are revealing the beginnings of a big update which will arrive in spring 2026 called Test of Time. Before his arrival, we are entitled to a first draft in February, Patch 1.3.2 brings the leader Gilgamesh, the latter is now available to all Civilization VII players, and of course for free. The studio also wants an improvement in the daily experience when building an empire. We’re introducing the first phase of nested tooltips to clarify complex terms instantly, as well as a new Attractiveness Filter to make tiles easier to find. They also did some balancing including an overhaul of the French Empire and improvements to Dai Viet. Other, bigger changes planned for later this year.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is available on the Microsoft Store from €69.99 on Xbox One consoles and Xbox Series X|S.
