Ohio-based casual BBQ chain City Barbeque recently broke ground on its first Alabama location.
The restaurant, located at 11544 Memorial Pkwy Southwest in Huntsville, near the intersection of Hobbs Road and U.S. 231, is expected to open Feb. 9, according to a news release.
“With meats smoked on-site, house-made sides, and backyard hospitality, the space is built for locals to share authentic barbeque with family and friends,” the release reads.
In addition to dine-in and carryout, the Huntsville location will also offer full-service catering for “groups of all sizes,” according to the release.
“Our team is excited to bring our first City Barbeque in the state of Alabama to Huntsville,” wrote City Barbeque CEO and president Mike Muldoon.
“We’ve been smoking barbeque for over 25 years, and we are proud to now be part of the Alabama barbeque community. Since 1999, everything we do—from smoking meats on-site to preparing our house-made sides to becoming a trusted member of the community—is rooted in family, community, and togetherness.”
Founded in 1999, City Barbeque now has dozens of locations across the eastern U.S., spanning from Wisconsin to central Florida.
