The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) revealed that the Regent of Cilacap, Syamsul Auliya Rachman, set a target when extorting a number of agencies and health centers to give THR to Forkopimda. The KPK said the target set was up to IDR 750 million.
“The amount of money from each regional apparatus in Cilacap Regency with a ‘deposit target’ reaches IDR 750 million,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu during a press conference at the KPK building, South Jakarta, Saturday (14/3/2026).

Asep also explained that from the total target, each work unit (satker) was asked to deposit money ranging from IDR 75 million to IDR 100 million. He said that Cilacap Regency itself has 25 regional apparatus, 2 regional general hospitals and 20 community health centers.
“Initially, each work unit (satker) was targeted to be able to deposit Rp. 75 million to Rp. 100 million. Although in reality the deposits received varied, from Rp. 3 million to Rp. 100 million per regional apparatus,” said Asep.
It is known that the Regent of Cilacap, Syamsul, collected this money by ordering the Cilacap Regional Secretary, Sadmoko Danardono. Sadmoko was asked to collect money for the 2026 Eid THR.
“That Brother AUL as Regent of Cilacap for the 2025-2030 period, in the context of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, ordered Brother SAD as Regional Secretary of Cilacap Regency, to collect money for the need to provide THR for individuals and external parties,” said Asep.
Meanwhile, Syamsul asked for the deposit to be submitted on March 13 2026. If the deposit has not been made, the regional government assistants will be billed by the district government assistants assisted by the Head of Satpol PP and the Head of the Cilacap Food Security Service.
A total of IDR 610 million was collected. Then the money was handed over to Sadmoko from an assistant named Ferry Adhi Dharma.
“Furthermore, in the period 9-13 March 2025, as many as 23 regional apparatus of Cilacap Regency have deposited the Regent’s requests collected through FER with a total of IDR 610 million,” said Asep.
Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman was caught in a sting operation (OTT) by the KPK yesterday. Regent Syamsul was caught in OTT together with Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono.
Before being taken to Jakarta, Regent Syamsul was taken into custody at the Banyumas Police after being caught by OTT. There he underwent an initial examination by the KPK team.
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the case involving Regent Syamsul and Regional Secretary Sadmoko was related to allegations of extortion.
“It is suspected that the Regent’s receipts were related to projects in Cilacap Regency,” said Budi.
