Gijón doesn’t need much convincing. It is a city that can be enjoyed without making complicated plans: you can walk around, you can eat well and there is always something nearby that you want to see. It has the sea next to it, an easy-to-navigate center and that atmosphere that mixes the urban and the seaside without hardly realizing it.
A weekend gives you time to get a good idea of what it offers. Just enough to try the cider, tour Cimadevilla, see the Cantabrian Sea from above and leave some plans pending. Because Gijón has that thing that hooks you: when you leave, the normal thing is that you do it thinking about when to return.
