Ciara Reveals Her Dream Hosting Gig: Love Island
The singer and entrepreneur shares her enthusiasm for the reality dating show and reflects on gaining ownership of her music masters.
Singer Ciara recently revealed her interest in potentially hosting the popular reality show, Love Island. In an interview, she expressed her enthusiasm for the program and shared her thoughts on its often dramatic content.
During a recent interview with Complex’s Jordan Rose, she shared that she would jump at the chance to be a part of the popular show.
“I would definitely be up in there like a mama Cici,” she said. “I don’t even know if I would be a sister to everybody, I would be like the sister but you know sometimes I turn into a momma. You just want something to be right for someone in your heart and you just want to help them out. But would I pull up on Love Island? I would pull up on Love Island for sure. I would be like, y’all get y’all mind right.”
“The stuff that they be doing on that show though be crazy,” she continued “I’m like, its so disrespectfully good. I be like why y’all making that girl go through this? I can’t wait to watch the episode tomorrow, what’s going to happen next?”
Ciara also admitted that she is a big fan of the show and watches it with her husband New York Giants QB Russell Wilsons when he’s not preparing for the season.

Along with her interest in Love Island,Ciara recently released her eighth album,CiCI,on her label Beauty Marks Entertainment. The LP features collaborations such as “How We Roll” with Chris Brown, “Ecstasy,” and “This Right Here” accompanied by Latto.
Ciara also recently shared how she became an self-reliant artist and gained ownership of her masters.
“It was also one of my greatest meetings as that propelled me to become independent, because literally he did not see the vision of what ‘Level Up’ was,” said Ciara. “I remember going downstairs to the person that was my A&R at that time his name was Monti Olson […] I’m forever grateful for him because he also believed in me when I was like eight months pregnant to sign a deal with meHe was one of the executives that were actually still at the company when the old CEO went out.”
“I asked for my masters and they gave it back to me for free, so let you know how much they didn’t believe, and now ‘Level Up’ is almost three times platinum,” she continued.
