Strategic Shift in Communication: Wolnik Takes the Helm

Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, is sharpening its focus on the swiss market with the appointment of Christoph Wolnik as the new Head of PR for Polestar Automotive switzerland. This move signals a renewed commitment to strategic communication within the region, notably as the electric vehicle (EV) market continues its rapid expansion.

wolnik’s extensive background in the automotive industry and public relations positions him as a key asset for Polestar. He will officially assume his responsibilities on May 1st, spearheading PR initiatives from Polestar Switzerland’s Zurich headquarters.

A seasoned Professional Joins the Ranks

Wolnik brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His career spans various facets of media and automotive advocacy, including roles at Radio Ostallgäu, Sport1, and, most notably, auto-Switzerland, the Association of Swiss Automobile Importers. During his decade-long tenure at Auto-Switzerland, he served as a public relations manager for nearly nine years and most recently as deputy director, gaining invaluable insights into the Swiss automotive landscape. Notably, Auto-Switzerland has been a member of Polestar Switzerland sence 2023.

Reporting Structure and Market Presence

In his capacity as Head of PR, Wolnik will report directly to dimitris Chanazoglou, Managing Director of Polestar Switzerland and Italy.This streamlined reporting structure aims to facilitate efficient communication and strategic alignment within the company.

Polestar’s presence in Switzerland includes three strategically located “spaces” in zurich, Bern, and Lausanne. Thes spaces serve as brand experience centers,allowing potential customers to interact with Polestar vehicles and learn more about the company’s vision. Furthermore, Polestar collaborates with two dealers in Lucerne and St. Gallen, and also a network of over 60 service partners, ensuring extensive coverage and support for its customers throughout Switzerland.

Switzerland is witnessing a surge in EV adoption,mirroring global trends. According to recent data, electric vehicles now account for a notable portion of new car registrations in the country.
