The Chinese Embassy in Israel recently disclosed cases of damage from missile attacks and repeatedly urged its citizens to evacuate quickly.
The embassy announced today (17th) through its official WeChat account that debris from a recent missile attack in the Rud area of Israel penetrated the wall of a Chinese dormitory, causing damage to indoor appliances.
Although there were no casualties as most workers were working at the time, the embassy emphasized the seriousness of the situation and recommended, “Evacuate critical infrastructure, military-sensitive areas, near airports, and remote residences as quickly as possible.”
However, there was no separate mention of the subject of this attack, the specific damaged workplace, or the size of the dormitory.
Lud is a city located approximately 40-50km northwest of Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and is a transportation and logistics hub adjacent to Ben-Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
The embassy said, “Lud is adjacent to the airport, so there is a very high risk of missile, rocket, and drone attack,” and urged people to strictly follow the Israeli Rear Command’s safety guidelines.
Additionally, it was recommended to choose a residential area or construction site with an air-raid shelter when working.
He then said, “It appears that the war will continue for a considerable period of time,” and requested active participation in the evacuation and resettlement registration program operated by the embassy.
Previously, on the 12th, the Chinese Embassy warned of a worsening situation, saying that simultaneous missile, rocket, and drone attacks were continuing in the northern and eastern regions of Israel, and urged rapid evacuation.
