Chillán Conservator Suspended: Court of Appeals Ruling

by drbyos

On December 16, the Court of Appeals of Chillán ordered to temporarily suspend the real estate conservator of Chillán, Yamil Najle Alée for a period of two months, within the framework of a summary administrative investigation ordered by the full ministers of the appeal court, within the framework of an administrative investigation against him as a result of his involvement in the so-called “Belarusian Plot.”

“Because of what has been stated and given that the investigated person holds a position whose main mission is to protect public faith in the transfer of assets, it is estimated that his unjustified actions in the events described, for now and at this stage of the procedure, are worthy of reproach from such an entity that prevents him from continuing to exercise the position of Conservator of Real Estate of Chillán during the investigation,” the resolution indicates.

It adds that: “also having declared by the investigated person that Mr. Migueles Oteiza provided services to him, it is estimated that the suspension of functions that will be ordered is also necessary for the success of the investigation.”

Migueles – partner of the former Supreme Court minister, Ángela Vivanco – is in preventive detention along with lawyers Mario Vargas and Eduardo Lagos, for alleged money laundering, repeated bribery and bribery.

The Prosecutor’s Office investigation maintains that Lagos coordinated with the owner of the Swiss exchange house, Harold Pizarro, to deliver funds to Migueles, an operation that included the use of a check issued in the name of a third party and the exchange of pesos into dollars. Later – according to the Prosecutor’s thesis – the conservatives Yamil Najle from Chillán; and Sergio Yáber from Puente Alto (also suspended), transferred that money to Migueles.

Call to fill provisional vacancy

After the notification of the conservator of real estate, the information was sent to the president of the appeal court who ordered the corresponding call that allows, as of Tuesday, December 16, the publication of the contest to apply for the position of substitute conservator of real estate for a period of 2 months.
