Chile’s burgeoning artisanal beer scene has once again garnered international attention,thanks to the stellar performance of Kross brewery at the World Beer Awards 2025 in London. The competition celebrates the finest beers from across the globe.

The Chilean brewery received four awards,including a coveted “World’s Best” title,solidifying its reputation for quality and innovation in the international beer market.

Kross’s great triumph in London

The international panel of judges, comprised of industry experts, presented the following accolades to the Curacaví-based brewery:

• Kross Stout / Gold – Country Winner and World’s Best in the category Stout & Porter / Oatmeal Stout.
• Kross Berries / Silver in Flavoured Beer / Fruit & Vegetable.
• Cross -country castle / Silver in Stock / hoppy pilsner.
• Kross Golden / Silver in Pale Beer / English Style Pale Ale.

The brewery’s flagship Kross Stout, its original recipe, was once again named the Better in the world in its category. the Stout previously received this honor in 2023. The Kross Berries also celebrated its first international medal.

A recognition of trade and passion

According to Asbjorn Gerlach, co-founder and Brewmaster of Kross, these awards reflect the brewery’s dedication and identity. “Each of these medals is a recognition of the trade, affection and passion that we put in each of the recipes and creations we make. That our Stout, the first beer we create, is among the best in the world and that Berries has won its first medal, they are milestones that fill us with pride. Representing Chile in this scenario is a huge honor,” he said.

With these latest accolades, Kross now boasts a total of 161 medals in international competitions, solidifying its position as Chile’s most decorated brewery.

Kross’s success stems from a blend of Conventional techniques, High quality ingredients, and an Innovative spirit. This combination has allowed its diverse range of beers,from classic stouts and Golden Ales to experimental brews like the Odyssey line,to gain recognition both domestically and internationally.

The World Beer Awards, held annually in London, assesses beers globally based on strict quality standards and style authenticity. Winning a World’s Best title signifies being chosen as the top beer in its category worldwide, a feat achieved repeatedly by only a select few breweries.
