Three Models on the Horizon

Zeng Shuo, Country Director of Chery Sales Indonesia, has announced plans to launch three models featuring the CHS platform in Indonesia. These vehicles will offer drivers the flexibility of both gasoline and electric driving modes, catering to diverse driving needs and preferences.

CHS: A Synergy of Super HEV and EV Technologies

The Chery Super Hybrid system represents the culmination of Super Hybrid Electric Vehicle (Super HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies. Chery emphasizes that this synergy results in extraordinary energy performance and efficiency. The company even claims a world record achievement, demonstrating the technology’s capability to cover an impressive 2,369 kilometers without requiring refueling or recharging.

Tiggo 8 Showcases Hybrid Potential

The Tiggo 8, equipped with the CSH system, was showcased as a prototype, offering a glimpse into the future of Chery’s hybrid offerings. The CSH system boasts a fifth-generation 1,500 cc Turbo engine option, with Chery highlighting the engine’s thermal efficiency of 44.5 percent.

Unprecedented Fuel Efficiency and Performance

The CSH system is projected to achieve remarkable fuel consumption figures, exceeding 76 km/liter. Despite its fuel efficiency, the technology doesn’t compromise on performance. Select models can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a mere 5.2 seconds.Furthermore, the CSH technology is capable of delivering up to 920 Nm of torque in the Tiggo 9 All Wheel Drive (AWD) variant.

Battery Technology and EV Range

The Tiggo 8 CSH, in EV mode, offers a range of up to 90 kilometers. The system incorporates an IP68 Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, designed to withstand water, dust, and extreme temperatures up to 95°C. Chery also claims rapid charging capabilities, with the battery able to charge from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
