Teh annual cherry festival recently concluded, drawing crowds with a diverse array of attractions. Alongside the festivity of local cherries, the event featured vintage car parades, an art exhibition, musical performances, and family-friendly entertainment.

Vintage cars captivated enthusiasts, while inside Palazzo Mazza, the art exhibition of Luca Talarico, a young artist with autism, showcased colorful and socially impactful works. Visitors highly appreciated the exhibition.

The afternoon offered a variety of attractions. Piazza Marconi was enlivened by the music of a group from Gizzeria, who played guitars, accordions, and percussion. The sorceress Vivì provided entertainment with confetti, inflatables, and games, including fluorescent bubbles and a bubble house.

Refreshments and Lottery

Refreshment points offered respite from the heat with fresh granitas, ice creams from the Callipo company, and cherry sweets. Attendees could purchase a ticket for a pack of cherries along with other treats. A lottery offered prizes,including a trip to Madrid.

Evening Festivities

As evening approached, the alleys were illuminated with red and green lights, highlighting bunches of cherries from the Trapasso company. Volunteers offered sandwiches with various fillings. The “Spiro Band,” led by Maestro Eugenio Taverna, performed covers and medleys, featuring musicians Angel, Mattia, Daniela, and Luigi.

The festival concluded with the cutting of a megacrostatona to cherry and the lottery drawing. Deputy Mayor Tomaino, representing the municipal administration, participated in the event, along with the presentation of the “Cherry fruit cherry” competition prize.
