Chatham Sweetcorn Festival 5K to Honor Bradley Lund

The annual Chatham Jaycees Sweetcorn Festival 5K will dedicate its proceeds to honor Bradley Lund, who tragically passed away on Monday following the april accident involving the YNOT after school camp.

In a recent declaration on Facebook, the Chatham Jaycees shared that all funds raised from this year’s run/walk event will be contributed to The Backyard at the Library, serving as a memorial to 8-year-old Bradley Lund and the Lund Family. Lund was the fifth child to succumb to injuries from the devastating crash.

“Words cannot express what the Lund family means to our community, our kids, and our organization,”

The Chatham Jaycees are encouraging participants to register early to ensure timely ordering of shirts and medals. They have also extended a $5 registration discount until June 12.

Participants will also have the option to make additional donations through the race’s website.

the event is designed to be family-friendly, welcoming runners, walkers, and even those pushing strollers. The 50th annual Sweetcorn Festival 5K is scheduled to take place from 8-10 a.m. on July 19, at 700 S Main St. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m.on July 15.
