Charlie Hanafin, a 2026 wide receiver from Dexter Southfield in Burlington, Ma., has announced his commitment to West Virginia University. Hanafin made the decision after an official visit to the campus.
Hanafin, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 184 pounds, solidified his commitment to the Mountaineers during a meeting with head coach Rich Rodriguez.
“I told him I didn’t need to look any further and I was ready to commit to him and his program. My older brothers have been through this process and they both have told me that when you know,you know. And I just know this is where I want to be,” he said.
During his visit, hanafin spent important time with wide receivers coach ryan Garrett, senior offensive assistant Travis Trickett, and other coaching staff members.
