by Archynetys News Desk

A man in Charleston has been arrested after allegedly committing a robbery, records said.

Clinton Dewayne Martin, 28, of Charleston was arrested on Friday afternoon, according to a criminal complaint filed to Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

The complaint alleges that Martin agreed to meet up with a man who was selling him about $1,200 worth of clothes. The two met at the intersection of Monongalia Street and Ohio Avenue, according to the complaint.

After the seller put the clothes inside of Martin’s car, Martin allegedly struck the seller in the face with a bottle of vodka before allegedly telling him to leave, the complaint said. The seller then ran from Martin on foot down the street.

The seller suffered a chipped tooth and bruises to both of his eyes from the incident, according to the complaint.

Martin was later arrested and subsequently charged with felony robbery, and the complaint said he later tacked on additional felony charge for refusal to fingerprint after his arrest.
