Chandigarh University Khelo India: Champions 2024

Jaipur, December 3 (Language) Chandigarh University reached the top of the medal table on the 10th day of Khelo India University Games here on Wednesday by winning nine out of 10 medals in canoeing and kayaking.

Chandigarh University also won the gold medal in men’s team table tennis, surpassing Guru Nanak Dev University to reach the top spot. Chandigarh University has 33 gold, 13 silver and nine bronze medals.

Four meet records were made in athletics for the second consecutive day.

Guru Kashi University’s Tongabram Roshan Singh won the canoeing singles 500m race, saving Chandigarh University’s clean sweep in Udaipur.

Punjab University (men’s 4x400m relay), Mahatma Gandhi University‘s Shintomon CB (men’s 110m hurdles), Guru Kashi University’s Sanya Yadav (women’s discus throw) and Mahatma Gandhi University’s Alina T Saji (women’s triple jump) won gold medals, bettering the meet record.

Paris Olympics bronze medalist Sarabjot Singh along with Palak won the gold medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event at the Jagatpura shooting range.

In the women’s football final, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University won the gold medal by defeating Guru Nanak Dev University 2-0.

The men’s hockey final was won by Gurukul Kangri University by defeating Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth 5-1.
