The Central Electoral Commission declared invalid part of the registrations of candidates for people’s representatives due to violations of the requirements of the Electoral Code.
The “Third of March” coalition has registered Tatiana Lisickova in four constituencies. After the commission’s decision, she dropped from the lists in the 23rd district in Sofia and in Ruse. She began her participation in the elections with a list in Burgas and the 24th MIR in Sofia, where her registrations were submitted first on time.
There is a similar case with Todor Lambev, again from the “Third of March” coalition. He was also included in four lists, being deleted from the 23rd and 25th district in Sofia and remaining a candidate in Burgas and the 24th district in the capital.
There is also a violation in the “Disobedient Bulgaria” party of Cornelia Ninova, where Georgi Georgiev was registered in three regions. He drops out of the list in Ruse and remains in the race in Montana and Pleven.
The CEC also declared invalid the registration of Tanya Gocheva from the “BSP-United Left” coalition in Haskovo. However, she remains a candidate in the same district from the list of the “Anti-Corruption Bloc” coalition, as this registration was submitted first.
According to the Electoral Code, a candidate can be nominated by only one party or coalition and participate in a maximum of two multi-member constituencies.
