A collaboration aimed at valorization of the Valley’s agri-food excellence and the creation of new training opportunities and development for the territory. This is the meaning of the agreement signed last Thursday, March 5, by the president of the Board of Directors of the Institut Agricole Régional, Piero Prolaand by the sole administrator of the Casino de la Vallée, Rodolfo Marcello Create.
The agreement involves in particular the Grand Hôtel Billia, a reference structure, in the gaming house complex, for the regional tourist and conference offer. Among the central elements of the agreement is the valorisation of the agri-food products of the Institut Agricole Régional – including wines, cheeses, meats and other typical specialties – which may be used and promoted in catering services del Billia.
The high Aosta Valley hospitality will thus also become, the Casino explains in a note, “a privileged showcase for local productions and for the research, training and agri-food processing activities carried out by the Institute”. The collaboration also includes thejoint organization of events, tastings, thematic dinners and dissemination moments dedicated to regional food and wine culture, as well as the possibility of hosting conferences and initiatives at the hotel’s conference centre.
The training of young people is also an aspect specifically addressed in the agreement. The students of the Institut Agricole Régional will, in fact, have the opportunity to carry out internships and internships at the Grand Hôtel Billiacoming into direct contact with the world of catering, hospitality and the promotion of local products.
The agreement also includes support for inclusion projects promoted by the Institute, aimed in particular at students and young people in fragile situations or with special educational needs, confirming the attention of the two entities not only to economic development but also to the social dimension. The convention will have annual duration, with automatic renewaland could give rise, over time, to further shared initiatives, for the benefit of the entire Aosta Valley system.
