The flautist Carmen Vela and her quartet will arrive at the Afundación Headquarters to star in the last of the Butaca de Jazz concerts tomorrow, Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. They will build their participation on their latest album, In Continuous.
With jazz sound and some winks to the swing or the most classic Latin jazz, Verla’s music has its own sonority that walks between the most forceful sounds and the texture of wood. Afundación organizes the Carmen Vela Quartet concert in the Butaca de Jazz cycle in collaboration with the Jazz Spain Platform, the non-profit association that brings together festivals, programmers and jazz fairs from all over Spain.
The cycle is part of the “Culture for Food” program, promoted by the ABANCA Social Projects and the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL). Since its inception, the program mobilized 84 tons of food collected at cultural events held throughout Galicia.
