An afternoon dedicated to caregivers and family members: mutual self-help, role of associations and synergy with Asl1

New appointment with «Cdcd Wednesdays» on December 3rd

Sanremo. On December 3rd the appointment with the “Cdcd Wednesdays” returns, the series of meetings that Asl1 dedicates to caregiver of patients with cognitive decline, through the Cognitive Disorders and Dementia Center. The meeting – free and open to the public – will be divided into two modules.

The first, curated by the associations SiAma Odv and Amali Odv, will delve into “our experience of mutual self-help groups, in person and online, in sharing their experiences in managing the emotional load, in synergy with the ASL1 CDCD”.

The second module, edited by Afma Ponente, will instead focus on the role of family associations in managing the clinical, psychological and social problems of cognitive decline and on the experience of active collaboration with the CDC.

The initiative will take place at the «Borea» hospital in Sanremo, on the first floor of the former library room, from 4pm to 5.30pm.

The “Cdcd Wednesdays”, started on 17 September and scheduled until 17 December on a fortnightly basis, represent a concrete opportunity for those who assist vulnerable people every day: a space for clarifications, practical information and useful tools, thanks to the contribution of specialists, psychologists, speech therapists and local associations.

For information on the complete calendar, you can contact the Cognitive Disorders and Dementia Center of ASL1 directly.
