DragonBet back Cardiff for Chelsea cup tie

Cardiff City have extended their partnership with DragonBet ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup Quarter Final against Chelsea.

The Welsh bookmaker is currently the Championship side’s official partner and back of shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 campaign. Under the new agreement, the brand has pledged further support to the club by sponsoring the kits specifically for the upcoming fixture against the Premier League side.

Fans will see the DragonBet logo displayed on the back of the first team playing shirts for the match on Tuesday. As part of the activation, DragonBet has also secured the rights to the half-time entertainment, which will feature a keep-up challenge.

DragonBet, a family-owned business rooted in Cardiff, has emphasised its commitment to backing Welsh sport from grassroots to professional levels.

David Lovell, Co-Founder, DragonBet, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to stand alongside the Bluebirds this season. To see the team perform as they have has been a real buzz for all the DragonBet team, and seeing the DragonBet logo on the back of the shirt and come to life in the stadium on the LED boards and big screen has given us moments of real pride, and at times been quite emotional!

“We’re excited for the Carabao Cup Quarter Final clash against Chelsea at CCS. It’s set to be an electrifying night, in what has been a fantastic season so far. We’ve got a sneaky feeling the boys might just pull off a famous victory, but either way we’ll be there to cheer them on, and we’re looking forward to the half time DragonBet keep-up challenge too!”

Adam Pierce, Senior Partnerships Manager, Cardiff City FC, added, “We are delighted to have DragonBet on board for our Carabao Cup Quarter Final. As a Welsh business with strong roots to our capital city and long-standing support of Cardiff City, we can’t wait to see the DragonBet logo sit proudly on the Bluebirds shirt as we take on Chelsea next week.”

Table Tennis England have partnered with Parkinson’s UK to create more opportunities for those with the condition to play the sport.

The collaboration builds on the organisations’ existing relationship, recognising exercise as a vital method for slowing Parkinson’s symptoms. The sport is considered particularly effective due to its focus on balance, hand-eye coordination, and reflexes.

Key objectives of the partnership include upskilling coaches and volunteers, sharing data to strengthen the evidence base for physical activity, and supporting local clubs in becoming more inclusive. The alliance will also play a central role in the Ping! For Health project, which was recently selected as one of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Foundation’s Dream Building Fund Generation 2026 projects.

Jenny Leach, Senior Programmes and Partnership Manager at Table Tennis England, said, “We’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with Parkinson’s UK and create even more welcoming opportunities for people with Parkinson’s to enjoy our sport. We know how powerful table tennis can be in supporting movement, confidence and connection, and we want everyone to feel that there is a place for them at the table. This collaboration will help us support clubs, volunteers and coaches across the country to deliver sessions that make a real difference.”

Jed Parsons, Physical Activity Programme Manager at Parkinson’s UK, said, “We’re delighted to launch this new partnership with Table Tennis England, and I’m excited about the opportunities it will bring for our community, both now and in the future. We know that being active can be one of the best ways to live well with Parkinson’s and so many members of our community express their interest in playing table tennis together. As a sport, table tennis can be a really inclusive and social way for anyone to get active and I hope that even more people living with Parkinson’s will have the opportunity to get involved across England.”

LALIGA–Bloomsbury partnership enters fourth season in London

The partnership has been supported by CVC and by Fundación LALIGA, and has engaged more than 6,200 young people each week through Bloomsbury Football Foundation’s programmes. Both organisations have delivered recreational tournaments for players in schools and at weekend sessions across the capital, including at Acland Burghley School in Camden and Harris Academy in St John’s Wood.

Fundación LALIGA has provided specialised training designed to strengthen participants’ skills, promote football’s core values and enhance social inclusion. Forty-five young players have received financial scholarships to support their involvement. Since the initiative began in 2022, more than 500 players have taken part, and participation levels have reflected wider national interest in community football amid rising demand for accessible grassroots sport.

Last season, the programme has featured events with former professionals including Toni Duggan, Frédéric Kanouté and Aintzane Encinas, coinciding with the expansion of activity to a second London site. Support from CVC has continued into the 2025/26 season alongside the ongoing financial and training backing provided by Fundación LALIGA.

Charlie Hyman, Founder and CEO of Bloomsbury Football Foundation, said the partnership has continued to demonstrate football’s ability to support young people. Keegan Pierce, Director of International Relations at LALIGA, said the initiative has continued to grow each year and has strengthened connections with young supporters in London.
