In a case that causes shock and questions about road safety, as it became known on Saturday (29/11), he was arrested by the authorities in Vouliagmenis Street a businessman driving his luxury vehicle with a dizzying speed of 216 km/h in the heart of Attica.
In particular, as reported by MEGA’s main news bulletin, it is a 56-year-old man who fell into the hands of the traffic policemen while he was running with his Lamborghini on Vouliagmenis Avenue, at a point where the speed limit was approximately three times lower than the speed he developed.
He was “caught” by the radars at 216 km/h
However, the incident was recorded at the height of Argyroupoli, where the traffic radars caught the vehicle in a frantic course.
Thus, according to the measurements, the vehicle driven by the businessman was running at 216 km/h. It is worth noting that the maximum permitted speed limit in this particular section of Vouliagmeni Avenue is only 70 km/h.
The police immediately signaled the driver to stop and proceeded to arrest him. The 56-year-old was fined 2,000 euros and his driving license was suspended for a full year, according to the Road Traffic Code.
