Bulgarian Citizen Mobilized in Ukraine – Odessa

According to the current legislation of Ukraine, persons with Ukrainian citizenship have certain obligations when they are located on the territory of the country, including mobilization, the agency said.

“We maintain active communication with both Mr. Kirov’s family and competent Ukrainian institutions. The Bulgarian side is carefully monitoring the development of the case and makes all efforts within its powers to protect his rights,” the Media from our foreign ministry added.

Earlier, President Rumen Radev sent a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for clarification of the case of the violent detention of Lyubomir Kirov in Odessa and his mobilization in the armed forces of Ukraine. The Head of State also requested information about the actions taken by our foreign ministry.
