As she said in an interview on the TV Markízy website, when she learned from the manager that she would end up in the Danube, she was really taken aback and shed tears.
She didn’t keep them even after filming that difficult and terrifying scene. As Monika expressed, it was really challenging and full of emotions.

“When you say goodbye to a character, it’s like saying goodbye to someone close to you,” she said in an interview. It was not easy for the actress at all.
“It’s my first death in front of the cameras,” she continued, adding that for the first time in her life she felt heavy. “For the first time, I felt that I needed to clean myself mentally after this performance,” she added.
It was an acting challenge
As she added, it was an acting challenge for her, the scene was filmed eight times. According to Monika, as an actress, she mainly works with her psyche. And that’s why he transforms these situations in his mind into his privacy.
It is not easy to switch to ordinary reality after finishing such demanding scenes. Monika admits that she also brought Magda’s death home with her. She had to cry herself out of it and, above all, sleep through it all.

“Saying goodbye to Magda is not easy. She has come a long way – full of pain, love and courage! Some characters you can’t play. Some you survive. Magda was one of them,” she wrote on Instagram.
The fact that she was experiencing really difficult emotions is also evidenced by the video that she later published on social networks. There, she said a moving farewell to the character of Magda. She wished her serial husband Lack, played by Filip Šebesta, another strong and beautiful story.
He also reacted to Monika’s end in the series. He also thanked her through social media and added that Lack’s character will never be the same again. “Magda in your presentation was admirable! Our serial line was short but intense thanks to you,” he wrote.

Fans want villains dead
However, the end of Magda in the series outraged many fans who criticize it. They really like the character of Magda and they don’t like that positive characters die so often in the series.
“That was terrible… I liked Magda… Someone from the good couple still has to die,” wrote one of the commenters on Facebook. “It was a powerful scene, it will be missed,” read another comment.
Other viewers commented that they were running out of patience. “It’s time for a negative character to die. Or ideally two!,” wrote one of the viewers, and another comment was added: “It’s a shame, he’ll be missed in the series. Again, only the good characters are leaving and when will the bad characters come too?”
In a recent interview with Alexandra Dubovská, director of the Production Center of the Markíza Group, this topic was also discussed. „Alena Valentová (Lesana Krausková) and Imrich Bocskay (Ivan Šandor) were originally supposed to perish during the bombing of Apolka. This tragedy claimed around 170 innocent victims and it was important for us to convey it to the audience with a strong emotion,” she said.
“That’s why we were looking for a story that would add a personal dimension to the event and allow the audience to feel its impact more deeply. The decision to sacrifice one of the favorite characters should emphasize the loss that will affect the audience strongly. Finally, we decided to let the characters of Eva, Ota (Šimon Silaj) and Hanák (Juraj Loj) die,” she added.
Only time will tell whether one of the “bad guys” will eventually end up in the series. However, the audience would very much like it.
