The Brussels public prosecutor’s office confirms that a chase took place. A vehicle traveled the wrong way. When a police vehicle wants to carry out a check, it flees at very high speed. A chase then begins. Following the report made on the airwaves, another police vehicle blocked the Bolivar – Chaussée d’Anvers intersection. The pursued vehicle speeds towards the police. The police had no choice but to open fire in the direction of the vehicle being pursued. The chase ends on Rue Quatrecht.


Still according to information from the prosecution, no injuries were reported and the driver was deprived of his liberty. He was under the influence of drugs.

An investigation was opened and the suspect is being charged with attempted murder.
