IFLScience reports that one of the most ancient organisms on the planet lives in the Mojave Desert, which stretches across the territory of the American states of Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. Furthermore, this asteroid would be too small and far away to be seen without a telescope. It will be 10,000 times fainter than the faintest star visible to the naked eye. This was revealed by Gianluca Masi, an astrophysicist and scientific director of the Virtual Telescope Project.
