For the first time in franchise history, the Denver Broncos broke out an all-white uniform for a Thursday Night Football showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Denver unveiled a new uniform wardrobe last year, and the NFL relaxed its rules this offseason, allowing teams to wear alternate helmets with non-alterate jerseys. That allowed the Broncos to wear their white alternate helmet with their standard white away uniform on Thursday.
Fittingly, the Chiefs went with all-red uniforms against Denver, completing a beautiful Christmas Day uniform matchup. Here’s a sampling of how fans and pundits reacted to the Broncos’ new look — and the uniform matchup — on Twitter/X.
Next week, Denver will wear its beautiful throwback uniform against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18. That game will be played on either Saturday (Jan. 3) or Sunday (Jan. 4). The NFL will announce the finalized Week 18 schedule after Sunday’s games wrap up.
