The American Jacob Bridgeman took sole lead of the Genesis Invitational tournament, taking a six-shot lead over his first pursuer, the Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, at the end of the third round played on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Bridgeman distinguished himself with a card of 64 (7 under par), including a nice eagle on the 11th hole, ending his day with a total score of -19. The 26-year-old golfer will try to win his first trophy on the PGA Tour on Sunday, but will have to be wary of Rory McIlroy. With a card of 69, the world number 2 has let go but remains within reach of the leader.
The American world number 1 Scottie Scheffler, for his part, signed a fine card of 66, but remains in 22nd place, after having completely missed his first round.
