Former world champion Vasyl Lomachenko has announced his retirement from boxing at the age of 37.The Ukrainian boxer, known for his remarkable technique and ring IQ, leaves the sport after a career highlighted by multiple world titles and Olympic gold medals.

Lomachenko’s last fight was on May 11, 2024, where he secured the IBF and IBO lightweight titles by defeating George Kambosos Jr. via a knockout in the eleventh round.Prior to that, he faced Devin Haney in may 2023, losing by unanimous decision. negotiations for a unification fight with WBA champion Gervonta Davis were unsuccessful, leading to Lomachenko initially taking a break before ultimately deciding to retire.
